How much should you charge for UGC?

Start from a base price for one edited 30–60 second video that the brand posts on its own accounts, then add for how the brand will use it. Typical US base rates by experience:

ExperienceBrand videos madePer video
Beginnerfewer than 5$100–$150
Intermediate5–25$150–$300
Experienced25+$300–$500

How usage rights change your price

Organic use is included in the base price. When a brand runs your video as an ad, charge for the time it runs, as a share of your base price:

UsageAdd to base
Organic only (brand's own accounts)included
Paid ads, 1 month+20–30%
Paid ads, 3 months+40–60%
Paid ads, 6 months+60–100%
Paid ads, 12 months+100–150%
Paid ads, forever+200–300%

Spark Ads or whitelisting, where the ad runs from your account, adds another 20–50%.

Add-ons and bundles

  • Posting on your account: add about $8–15 per 1,000 followers for the reach.
  • Raw footage only: about 75% of your base price, since the brand does the editing.
  • Extra hooks: $25–75 for each extra opening, so the brand can test which works.
  • Rush delivery: +25–50% for delivery within 72 hours.
  • Bundles: it's common to take 10% off for 3+ videos and 15% for 5+.

Questions creators ask

How much should a beginner charge for UGC?

Most creators starting out charge $100–$150 for one edited 30–60 second video with organic use only. Raise your price as you build a portfolio of brand work, and charge on top for paid-ad usage rights.

Do I need a lot of followers to do UGC?

No. UGC is paid for the content, not your audience: brands post it on their accounts or run it as ads. Followers only matter when you also post the video on your own account.

What are usage rights?

Usage rights say where and for how long a brand can use your video. Organic use means the brand posts it on its own accounts; paid usage means it runs as an ad, which is worth more the longer it runs.

What are Spark Ads and whitelisting?

With Spark Ads (TikTok) or whitelisting (Meta), the brand runs ads from your account, under your name. Charge extra for it on top of paid usage.

Should raw footage cost less?

Raw footage takes less editing work, so it's often priced a bit lower than a finished video. Delivering raw clips in addition to an edited video is usually an add-on.
